Monday Mumblings

You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club.  ~Jack London (1876 - 1916)

It's Sunday!

So not alot has been happening around here lately. Brad started his new job yesterday. Our schedules will soon be changing so we'll have to get used to that.
Friday we played outside:

Scarf I was knitting(I got about 2 inches further before I figured out I had lost a few stitches in the course of the football game so I frogged the whole thing):

Lunch today scalloped potatoes & ham(it hadn't been in the oven long):

Brownies that Aly and I made yesterday for Brad(we needed them frosted.*L*):

We really haven't been too busy, been working on a project for Aly's schooling, we're making pinatas with my family (my mom still homeschools all my siblings) and we are planning a fall festival for the kids and they get to invite some other kids....
Today I've cleaned, and cleaned and ya can't tell. Got tea in the freezer to chill for Brad's lunch, which should be soon. We've all been sick. Got nasty coughs and all the fun jazz that comes with it. Last night I started a new pattern for my scarf, and I'm not sure what I think of it, when I get a bit further I'll post a picture... I need to just quit frogging it all. No one else will notice the imperfections.

September? Seriously.

I am having a hard time believing it's September already! I am mean I've been awaiting the fall weather for a break in the humidity, but sheesh almighty! I wasn't ready for this!
Things have been busy for us around here.... between schooling the girlie girl, and football parties to cheer Nebraska on, and Brad's new job(within the same company, he'll be handling cell phones now, instead of being where he was. which is actually a somewhat crooked step towards what he's been going to school for.), we are all kind of stressed out. But we are surviving. Aly is doing really well in school. I'm quite proud of her, we've had some issues with math, but we're working on that. I've been in printer hell for a few days. Mine had issues, ran out of ink, so run and go get an
ink cartridge, should be all fixed? No. The stinking pile died at some point between the day it ran
out of ink and the day we bought the new one. So we return the ink cartridge, because we now
need to buy a new printer. You might think this is the happy ending to this story right? Wrong.
Majorly wrong. I go through this process from hades to get it installed. that should have been my
clue right? Well I didn't think much of it because I recalled that the old HP printer took forever
to install also. So this new one, I figured same thing.  It doesn't freaking print a thing for me. No
matter what I try. So I'm getting pretty upset at this point, and the printer is no longer being called
nice things. I used words on it that I thought were deleted from my vocabulary. So Brad gets home
for lunch and tries it. It works for him, first freaking try. So now I'm using words on Brad that I
thought were deleted from my vocabulary. He leaves, and I try to print my labels out. The thing
won't work. Seriously. Are you flipping kidding me? So I'm getting upset.(I'm downplaying that quite a bit*L*) And I call Brad in a fit, and we decide after much yelling on my part that we will return it. The new NEW printer is a dream to work with so far! It installed in minutes, no hassels. It printed right away. I love the thing.*L* for now...

I had some pictures I was going to share of really random things, but I just don't have the energy to do it. Did I mention that we took down those horrid mirrors in the kitchen this week? Oh and the flipping ugly mural in the living room? You know the one I always apologize for in my pictures?*L* Yeah it's gone, now I am busy scraping all the sizing and wallpaper paste off that wall. I'm so excited. The landlord told us last time he was here he didn't care if we did it, so I'm like woohoo.... especially since our duplex neighbor is putting in wood floors...

We've all been sick lately too. It's like we can't kick this crap. I'm walking around with hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, all sorts of cleaning and disinfecting cleaning stuff(I really should have a toolbelt for this stuff!;P) and we're all still sickly. It's getting old.
